Christopher Loughner is an Assistant Research Scientist for the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) at the University of Maryland. He received his B.S. in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University, M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, and Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science from the University of Maryland. Dr. Loughner is an experienced meteorological and air quality modeler. His research interests involve examining interactions between meteorology, atmospheric chemistry, and land surface changes and their impacts on human health and terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
