Barry Baker is a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites (CICS), the University of Maryland at College Park He received his M.S. in Applied Physics in 2010 and his Ph.D in Atmospheric Physics at University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2014. After graduating he was the recipient of a post-doc position at NOAA Air Resources Laboratory from the National Research Council. His main focus during this time was deposition processes in chemical transport models. He is working at NOAA Air Resources Laboratory, with a focus on coupling of the Community Multi-Scale Air Quality model with the NOAA operational Non-hydrostatic Multiscale Model on the B-grid with future implementation for NOAA's Next Generation Global Prediction System. His research interests include modelling land atmosphere exchange, boundary layer dynamics, deposition, and emission.
