Vanessa Gomes is a senior in the Science and Technology program at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. Her studies in school consist of math, physics, and chemistry as well as computer science. She is very interested in studying computer science and its impact on atmospheric science. She is an intern for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and working at the Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites. Her main research interests deal with coding or programming for atmospheric and lightning systems. In the future, she hopes to use her skills and knowledge to contribute to her studies in computer science as well as the atmosphere around us.
