Min Huang

Min Huang has been a Visiting Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Maryland since May 2016. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Iowa in 2012 and conducted her postdoctoral research at Caltech/Jet Propulsion Laboratory during 2012-2015. Her research focuses on policy-relevant air quality modeling, pollution source attribution, and data assimilation from local to global scales, as well as land surface modeling and land-atmosphere interactions. Currently, she is working on assimilating NOAA’s satellite land products into a coupled LIS (Land Surface Information)/NUWRF (NASA-Unified Weather Research and Forecasting) modeling system over the Contiguous United States, and evaluating its impact on the simulated weather fields and the subsequent emission and air quality modeling.
