Marissa Dattler received her B.S. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science from University of Maryland, College Park in May of 2016. She is now employed as a Faculty Assistant through CICS-MD, studying sea ice at the NOAA National Center for Weather and Climate Prediction. She started interning through CICS-MD in the summer of 2015 and has continued as an intern until her graduation. Some of her research interests include sea ice, terrestrial snow, physical oceanography, ice shelf dynamics, and glaciology. She plans on continuing her studies of the cryosphere in graduate school.
