Belen Franch received the PhD degree in Physics from the University of Valencia in 2013. She is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Geographical Sciences in the University of Maryland and a Science Collaborator in NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Her research interests include atmospheric correction in the solar spectral range, the study and application of BRDF inversion methods and land surface albedo estimation. Besides, she also works on agriculture studies analyzing and developing models to forecast the wheat production. She has published 18 international papers and has collaborated in plenty of research projects financed by the European Union, the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA.
